Phantom Of The Opera
« on: May 04, 2008, 04:46:17 AM »

took the better half to the phantom of the opera on saturday, her christmas present last year. She loves that musical. Personally if you ever even see one broadway show in your entire life this is the show to see. It's just such an amazing story and such an amazing play. I paid 142 bucks for two tickets in a great spot in the balcony and It was more then worth it.

I'm not sure where it's going next but it usually goes to a city for about a month(theres multiple casts going around to different cities at the same time) I had only seen the movie Phantom of the opera 2 years ago and the musical experience is way better it was simply amazing. lol and this coming from a guy who would rather spend that 140 bucks in the garage says something I'm sure. Can't wait til this halloween I have to get started making my phantom mask. I'm going as the phantom and my other half will be going as christine.

Saw it in Raleigh about 11 years ago - great show.  Saw one in NYC and I've seen a few of the Cirque shows too.  Money well spent - it's amazing stuff.

We went to see Grease sat. I agree, good but over rated. I did see the new Challenger when we were going through the Lincoln tunnel in NY. It was orange with special Michiagan Plates. COOOOLLLL!

Andrew Lloyd Webber decided to write his awesome version of "The Phantom of the Opera" while he was married to Sarah Brightman, to showcase her spectacular voice. Michael Crawford sang and played the part of the Phantom and their performance together was for my money, one of the best ever. Do yourselves a favor and pickup the double CD sound track set of the Phantom. If your taste in music leans to hard rock only, you may not like it, but if you're like me and love all kinds of music, you WILL enjoy the Phantom's music with the original cast.

Speaking of Sarah Brightman, if you folks want to treat yourselves to some AWESOME music, pick up any of her CD's and be ready to enjoy one of the most versatile female singers ever. She can sing anything from opera to soft rock and blow you away with any song she sings.  Cheers
