11/16 Tie Rod Upgrade Question
« on: May 05, 2008, 01:05:59 AM »

Just Suspension has a kit with inner and outer tie rods and adjusting sleeves for $189.95 but Rockauto.com has Moog Parts for a C-Body, part numbers es352R  outer   es355RL  inner    es440S   sleeves, for about $110.00 altogether.

Isn't the 11/16 tie rod upgrade just C-Body stuff?

Will the 11/16 stuff listed for a '67 C-Body Fury work on my '67 B-Body Satellite?   thank you

www.firmfeel.com has a kit cheaper than Just Suspension. Neither of these sites specifies Moog tie rod ends, though.

The tie rod ends are C body items.

According to the Just Suspension site, A,B, and E bodies are supposed to use the same sleeve as C bodies. I don't know for sure if that's really the case.

The sleeve you get from Rock Auto will be a split factory-style piece. The solid sleeve is stronger, which is what you're going for, I assume. Maybe get the good Moog ends from Rock Auto, and the sleeves from Just Suspension or Mancini Huh

I got some 11/16" C body ends from Autozone and got a set of stock C body sleeves from the local junk yard. The sleeves were too long for an A body, they didn't leave any adjustment. So I ended up getting a set with the jam nuts form a seller on Ebay at the right size I needed ( 7"). All together I have about $80 into the whole set-up.

Firm Feel sells them for B bodies. I guess they alter the length. I have them, but I haven't compared them to stock parts yet.
