Josh

where are you located, i have a bigblock 727 that i'm not sure of it works or not.  I was told it was taken out of a running car but i haven't used it or opened it up.  In either case it would def be a good core for a rebuild.  I'll have to measure my 4sp to see what size the bearring retainer is and you can let me know if the bellhousing you have is the same.  I am looking for the 10.5 bellhousing for sure but not sure wthe retainer size, i know my 4spd came from a 69 barracuda

I have to put in a short tailshaft for a 4wd anyway so i dont mind  a rebuild.

I have no idea what the bell is from. This weekend ill try to pull it off and measure the retainer hole and the flywheel diameter.

no problem man thanks for keeping me posted

I took 10 minutes before work to pull the bell off. I was wrong about it being aluminum. It appears to be cast.  i did not get the hole measured or the diameter of the flywheel. Ill clean it off and make some measurements tomorrow since the boy seems to be feeling better.
