I'm going to have a MUCH bigger bank account so I can own an awesome Hemi car like this one! I know this is an A-Body site, but I'm pretty sure most of you would be very happy to park this all black, 426 Hemi powered 4 speed 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 (trim level, not engine size) next to your A-Body! Being a factory 4 speed car makes it a VERY rare car, as there were not many 66 Hemi B-Body cars built and most of those were automatics. Richard

In my next life time I'm coming back as a pampered pooch so I won't need it unless I can use it for the same purpose as Jen's cat does...a bed.

Thanks for posting the link to the auction Jim! If I wasn't so "computer challenged", I would have done it. As far as the VERY rare 1966 Coronet 4 door Hemi cars go, I've seen one of them here in Phoenix back in the early 80's. Come to find out as my brother-in-law and me were tracking down the other two previous owners of our original 1970 440-6, 4 speed, Dana 60 Cuda race car, (that was Hemi powered when we bought it in 1979), that owner #2 of our Cuda, sold our car to buy the 1966 Coronet 4 door Hemi car! It was still painted the original factory white with a black interior if I remember correctly. Man, if your into factory "sleepers", that 66 Hemi powered 4 door HAS to be at the top of your list! To bad that none of us "normal" type guy's will ever be able to afford one. The 4 door in the picture below is obviously not a Hemi car, but it looks similar to what the Hemi car looked like that I saw. The BIG difference is that the Hemi car had that little "426 Hemi" badge on it's fender and it was all stock, including the tiny 14" steelie wheels, dog dish hub caps and the tiny "rubber-band" bias-ply tires! The younger folks wonder WHY the early factory Hemi cars were so "slow" and I just smile and ask them if THEY would like to run close to 500 horsepower through a set of skinny 14" wheels and TINY bias-ply tires? That usually answers their questions! ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) Richard

Hi Rob, I've never been to his museum, but I do believe that he may have one. I believe that he also has one of the 1967 WO23 factory Hemi powered Coronet Super Stock cars. I haven't seen the 66 Hemi 4 door car here in AZ since the early 80's, so I'm not sure if it's the same car that you refer to at the Garlit's museum or not. I do know that the 66 Hemi Coronet 4 door hemi cars are one of the rarest of all of the production Hemi cars produced. Do you remember the gentleman who came on B.B.D awhile back saying that he had a red 4 door Hemi Coronet that he was going to sell on ebay? I wonder what ever happened on that deal? I tell you Rob, if I had the required cash to buy the black Hemi Coronet 2 door on ebay right now, I'd be ALL OVER that car! If I got it, I'd put it all back to stock with the steelie wheels and such, but who ever buys that car will be getting a VERY nice ride!!! The pictures below are of a VERY nice 2 door 66 Hemi Coronet 4 speed car. Richard

That red 4 door, I think I remember seeing that on Ebay sometime either last year or the year before.
The one I saw had no running gear, but had bids on it at about 180k. As well as people retracting their bids b/c they thought the car was a hoax.
