lets be specific about cops some cops are dicks some are great. My local cops suck because they focus on giving tickets instead of actually solving crimes and catching people who steal. the same with the local rcmp. I've driven in alberta and the rcmp there are awesome cops.

  You're right. BUT the fact is when you DO need someone in a bad situation there really is no one else around that'll come, no questions asked. You anti-cop types need to put THAT feeling aside & grow-up. The whole reason for a site like this is to have fun, not bashing people you don't even know.

I think that bozo was just that. as soon as the chase went off road , he should have gave up ( I never herd them say why they were chasing a dirt bike ) . he was just showing off for the cameras.  If they were chasing the dirt bike for being on the road , all they would have to do is sit back and wait, he got away once . there is no reason to think that he won't do it again, and now they know one of his escape routes. and he almost has to be a local in order to have known to go that way.    Oh yeh  I love cops . I think they have one of the hardest jos around.  ther is no way they can be everywere at once.  I love them even if I'm gettin a ticket . most likely I deserve it.

I remember my first ticket from a cop. I was so pissed 69 in a 50 cost 119 bucks. Mostly I was mad because it was my first time and I knew a girl at the time who had 4 warnings for speeding tickets yet no tickets yet. I bitched about how stupid I thought the cop was on Ramchargercentral.com and got the ass chewing of my life. and they were right to do so I was whining when it was my own fault. A cops job is hard especially when you have cops who make them in general look like crap and all the other fun. My local cops are short staffed mostly because of political correctness. The only people they will higher right now are people with a visible minority which right now is no one so they haven't hired anyone new in a while.

I got my license in 72 and always had some kind fo Mopar hot rod or other. I must have been pulled over at least a dozen times in 3 or 4 years and wound up with one ticket. Once a cop got me for uncapped headers in my 67 Cuda. I saw him go buy and put his lights on. I made a couple quick turns and ducked into a bar parking lot and tried to hide. He walked up laughing, and said "them headers new?" I said "yeah just put them on and had to try the car out". He went back to his car and I'm thinkin oh no what's gonna happen now? He comes back snapping a brand new 10 dollar bill and says thanks kid I bet my partner those were new headers cause they still had paint on them. He lectured me for a few minutes and let me go. Another time I was running around with uncapped headers, at about 2 in the morning, and I got pulled over. This time he said he was gonna give me a ticket for speeding. I said I wasn't speeding just making a lot of noise. I came off a stop sign and tacked up my 340 to about 6 gran and backed off the gas in first gear. He says "you see that parking lot? I try to take a nap over there every night and I don't like being woke up like that. The next time you wanna make noise go some where else., and walked away.

Times were different back then. Those guys were living thru the muscle car wars too, and probably had one at home. Also the roads are so crouded now and cars are so fast it's just more dangerous. Back then all you needed to be a cop was a set of big B*lls. Now you need a degree in somehting. I just got a $40 ticket for going 36 in a 25. The last time I was on that rd it was a 35 zone. I was told they had a mobile sign up blinking speed change before they installed the camera. But, it was gone when I went thru. It's hard to make a camera laugh with stupid wise cracks, you always lose, Joe.

 I am very anti cop and I could expound on these views for hours.

  our local cops would turn the lights on and try to scare you and not chase you like that if you were on a bike like that off road.   they would drive to the pit we were riding in and you would just ride into the woods until they left. we never had one stupid enough to do something like that guys did.

I've Known a lot of stupid cops and alot real good police officers. That is just the whole truth. Some are idiots and some are doing their job like we pay them to.  We've got 2 nephews that are on the force. One here in Kansas. A highway patrol officer, alot of the locals here think he is an ass. But they are all the guilty ones. A lot of people love him, cuz they have seen him doing his job, saving lives, working bad accidents, working the parades and helping the patriot guard!    Our other nephew is in L.A.  Puts his life on the line every day for the people of California. Has a wife and 3 kids, and has been in alot of serious situations, with all kinds of assholes, but has run into alot of "cop haters" begging him to help them when they NEED HIM.  And both of them admit to us that there are assholes on the force.  Just consider, not all cops are assholes just like not all blacks are theifs, not all women are like Hillary, not all blondes are dumb and not all Mexicans are lazy. And not all MEN ARE IDIOTS!!!        People are all diferent, it is not their race, gender, hair color, or job that determines what kind of person they are. Thank You.   I'm done now.

Ok, so.. hopefully no one got mad at me for posting this. I read all the replies and noticed some arguing back and forth..

The only reason I posted it was for everyone to have a good laugh, and not argue about little details.

Now, I am not anti-cop. I like cops. I have several good friends (older guys) who are cops, and they are the nicest guys you'd ever meet. But, some cops can be real a-holes. Period. Just b/c you'd get that one cop, don't assume they're all like that.
