You know.........I actually like the Aspen R/T's and Volare Roadrunners. I've actually considered them in the past.

I think more cars should have their tires stick out that far. It's sooooooooo cool.

Ah, the Aspen we've heard so much about.
It looks decent, except for the wheels and tires. But, to each his own. I like the cop wheels that they put on the Super Coupes. It's embarrassing to have those huge tires when you can't spin 'em.

bought a 77 Aspen wiith T tops in May of 1977 ordered it with all options on a Custom (wanted RT but wanted custom tail lights) Had 15X8 deep dish cragers with G50 15's on the rear 14x6 on front
Nothing wrong with it jacked up and tires sticking out, kind of makes it period correct

the F body front ends were cool. I liked the forward facing torsion bars. Always thought those Aspen R/T's were cool. Fly is right though, if your mags are going to stick that far out of the rear quarters, you need a mullett!!!

Nice car. F-body's rock. My dad has a pair of '80 Volare Road Runners, both were slant/4-speed combos originally. He ordered one new and bought the other in 2002, the one he bought in 2002 is now in need of paint (badly) but has a warm 360, 4-speed, and 3.23 8 3/4 sure grip. The one he bought new is still all stock and was ordered as a radio delete car with no options other than the RR package, a 4-speed (I think it would have come with a 3-speed), upper level vents and a rear defroster. Lots of rust on it as it was in Ontario its whole life. Plans for that one include a hot slant six/5-speed.
Keep on wrenching, Adam

Ok, in all seriousness, did he suffer a head injury recently? probably because of me at one time. I dunno I should be nicer it's a decent car it's just not going to perform how he wants it to. He wants to drive it daily and I put a purple shaft in the engine when I rebuilt it with huge lift. It's going to be a gas guzzler but he won't listen to me. He wants to buy ether a dart sport or a duster now as well as having this aspen and he wants to go grab an 81 mirada thats on my moms uncles farm. it's all original CMX with a slant auto combo.

joe dirt would be proud. i had an f and m body they are cool cars. i have an older brother and i got into cars real early between him and my old man, i remember my brothers friend had an aspen with air shocks and a.r.e outlaw rims with 14" tires that were way too wide. my brother had a 76 cordoba around the same time, he had a set of 15" chrome slots on it with protracs that stuck out with air shocks this was i nthe 80s i think they just missed there callign at that point. i do remember other cars around lieka big block duster with the mopar pro sock scoop fenderwell headers cherry bombs right under the rockers, real high ass end with cragars and a nice black space duster that had similar treatment with the direct connection rear wing. i think your brother missed his calling, but then again maybe we all did.
