Where are you located and how far (geographically) are you willing to look for a motor?

I'd like to be able to pick it up, so I'd say within a 100 miles or so unless it's something that I'm really interested in then shipping is possible.

I'm about 4 hours from you. I have a 1970 340. All fresh and ready to go. Needs intake, carb, and valve covers. I responded to your FABO ad with a picture. I can meet you part way to save on shipping if you're interested. Let me know if you need more info and pictures as the engine was being built.

I remember your reply on FABO, but it's a little out of my budget right now.

I live in Oregon and have a running 340 I am willing to sell if you are interested in shipping?  Should be able to get it to you complete for around $1500 to $1800 (but need actual shipping costs).

I can give you more details if you are interested.

You probably be beter off looking for 360 stuff. I have 7 340 blocks and I wouldn't take 500.00 each for them, probably wouldn't sell them at all. 340 blocks in good condition are getting very rare. The R series blocks are heavy and come with a bunch of problems, the resto blocks are super except you can't put a roller in them. All this makes 340 blocks worth a mint.

Of course when someone manufactures a good R block with standard lifter angle that will take a roller and is under 1800.00, then the old blocks wont be the ticket.

Good luck, just my 2 cents.
