So I got my car running....YAY!!! Then I decided to do some burnouts/donuts last night and BAM! Fan cuts right into my radiator. Water everywhere! It sucks...but that's OK...

Mechanical stock fan with a clutch. The fan didn't break. I actually have no idea how it ended up going into my radiator because everything is bolted down as it should be. The only thing I can guess is that the car leaning during the donuts and the engine torquing to the right caused the fan catch on the radiator or shroud then bent and continuously hit the radiator. It was REALLY close to the radiator (like 1/2" away). I will hopefully have pics up soon. Someone else took them.

No, the top. I haven't checked the motor mounts yet. I don't want to touch it yet.

Ah well, worse things can happen, eh? On a brighter note, I love the stance of your car. Don't know what you did, but it looks good.
I prefer a flex fan to the clutch setup. It seems to move more air. You can get different length spacers for them too. A lot of guys prefer the clutch fans, but not me.

1/2" is too close by proabably 1/2". A friend of mine did that with his 70 six pack Super Bee when his mom told him to open it up on the way to a smog check................

If you're using the old style mounts and not the spool mounts, it doesn't take much to break them. I use to break them all the time with both my 318 car and 340 car. Fan through the shroud, shroud through the radiator. What's really funny is the mount broke and I kept hearing this funny sound every time I'd put my foot in it. The car also felt like it was about to take off. What do I know, I was only sixteen.
Check the mount. If memory serves me correct someone makes mounts that have a bolt or bolts running through them so they can't break.
Regards
Love the meats on the back by the way.

I'm just gonna buy a new one from Summit. That's where my old one came from for like $170. A new fan is in order also... 1/2" is too close by proabably 1/2". A friend of mine did that with his 70 six pack Super Bee when his mom told him to open it up on the way to a smog check................
I can't figure out how to get it away any farther. Maybe I'll go electric If you're using the old style mounts and not the spool mounts, it doesn't take much to break them. I have aftermarket Schumacher mounts. Still haven't checked them out yet though.
