Mopar M1 440 intake, P4532756, anyone heard of this?
« on: May 13, 2008, 10:32:23 PM »

I have a Mopar M1 440 intake w/dominator flange, P4532756, anyone heard of this? I can't find any reference to this P/N. I was specifically told that it was a 440 intake that fit stock heads. Anyone got any idea?

That might be the casting number, not the part number.  Is that a standard width manifold or the extra wide version for the Stage VI heads?  Mopar Performance makes a couple of intakes that look like that for the Stage VI heads, one is a max wedge version and the other fits the standard port size.

P-number followed by 7 digits are Mopar Performance part numbers. It is cast into the top of the Manifold.

Is there a way I can measure it to determine what it fits, I don't have a 440 to check it on now. What is the deck width on a 440?

You just answered the question.  If that is the number that is cast into the intake then it is the casting number, not the part number.

Yes, like stated above, the MP casting numbers also start with P, but are different than the actual part numbers. That intake really seems like a RB intake for raised port Stage VI heads, non MW size. #P4876127

I don't have a caliper that big here and not sure if this will help but both ends have an ID of 8.75". To many steps to measure and describe and this is a stock 440 cast intake. Can't post pic for some reason?

yeah that's the intake that i think it is to.. which is a bunch wider then a std 440 intake to mate upto the raised port  stage V1 head without having to use a spacer

I agree, the only M1 intakes I have seen with a cast in valley cover have been for stage 6 heads. I seem to remember that when you fit stage 6 heads on a B block, an RB intake bolts straight on. I'm thinking that if what you have there was a B intake for standard port stage 6's, then it should bolt straight up to an RB with stock heads....then again I might not be thinking straight....

actually ya that is true  and looking at a older mopar catalog  they do show a intake  for the stage 6 heads on a low deck   part# 4529724 for dominator flange{it's just goofy how  the part # and casting #'s are so close but not the same thing?}....so mistery  should be solved   they just don't  offer it anymore since a std 440 intake can bolt onto  a low deck with stage 6 heads......that will be a nice intake  for someone building a   stock port 440 Smiley..sorry for any confusions  Flyboy

Thanks, the reason I was asking was that I bought this thing from the guy because he said it was for a stock port 440, but when I bought it, I didn't realize that it was a Dominator intake, I have no plans of using this carb, so I am seling it now. Thanks for the help guys.

I checked with one of the tech line guys at MP and he said it is a Stage VI intake with standard ports and 4500 carb.  That would make it the P4876127 part number.

Frustrated.....ok  how about  we get some measurements of the intake...just to make absolutly sure.....just use a measuring tape......block end rail  end to endon the bottom side....maybe you can also  take a pic   with a std 383 siting upside underit...and just by looking we can determine for sure

I took some measurements, the rail width is 8 3/4", then I laid a gasket on it, yup the ports are raised, about 5/8". So its definately a -127 intake.  Undecided

I guess I have to cancel my ebay auction and relist it.  Dunno

I just bought one along with some other parts and didn't realize it was for stage VI heads. It is brand new and no good to me.
