DI hate to sound like a post whore but I am really close on putting new skins on the demon. On average (i know there are variances in backspace and tires differ but) what is too wide? I am thinking about 245's?

Depends on ride height as well.......I have seen a 275/40/17 on a Valiant (cutting required). I am gonna be using a 255/35/18, which should fit w/ minor trimming of the fender lip at a pretty low ride height....5" from the AlterK frame to ground. Diameter is 25" on the 255....which is just right for my ride height.

I am thinking about a 245 50 16, I think that is all I can fit on the rim right now. On an off chance are they any pictures of darts or dusters with front fender flares, fiberglass or steel or a lot of rolling?

I may be all wet but I don't think that there is much difference between you Demon and my 68 Dart when it comes to front end stuff. 245/60 15's hit and hit bad on cop car wheels. On 16's, I don't think will be much better unless you 4X4 the car with the torsion bars. I am looking into the late model Charger wheels, 17x7 w/5" back space, that I know will tuck with 215/45ZR17's. I'm working out the wheel nut issues now to keep the OEM hub caps. Also I'm thinking 245/45ZR17's can be had at the rear too. 255/45's were close (3/8" - 7/16" each side) but I think if they are aired up they'll hit so I'm waiting on the 245/45's to show up for measuring. In your Demon I've seen 265/50's in the rear on 15x9 rears so I'll bet you cann probably get the 275/40's out back with the right offset.

They're Mustang Bullitt wheels I found on EBag, relatively inexpensive. I took a Mopar decal and overlayed the Cobra that the wheels came with, then gave it a clearcoat.

6 1/4" will be too much unless you have an AlterK, as golferjohn does
