So I called up a buddy of mine today and he was telling me about a few Darts he has seen. He didn't know if they were for sale or not but told me to come over and we could go and see if we could find out.
The first one was a clean 70 swinger 2 door, 318 car with no motor or trans.
It has an open 8 3/4 already and minamal rust. The paint sucks. $1800 takes it home with a clear title.
The second one was a 73, (I am pretty sure its a 73, owner didn't know for sure either), swinger 2 door with a factory sunroof. This one is a slant six car and has some rust around the rear window. Not alot but a lil bit. Its been repainted white from yellowish but has the standard NW moss coat going on.The owner said he has to get a duplicate title and will sell it for $400.
I left him my number and told him to give me a call when he is ready to sell.
Now here is the kicker. I also found a 79 1/2 ton shortwide on craigslist with a running 440, 727, 8 3/4 w/ 3.91 's and looks to be rust free and straight with decent paint. $1200
Right now all I have is a rebuilt 63' 413 with 324 heads and a pair of b body headers I can cut up. My issue is what to spend my IRS Mopar Bucks on!
Today was a fun day. I was imagining being out in the garage cutting, welding, cussing, ect.
Looking at the 70 Dart with its nose sitting high with no drive train made me think about lauching out of the hole at the drag strip.
