My new endeavor (PICS)
« on: May 15, 2008, 10:07:44 PM »

In an effort to be more like Tom (B569RR)  I bought myself a 67 Dart 270.   It is a rust free car from Arizona.  It is supposed to be here by the end of the month ... I just finished cleaning up my garage, sold the wagon project I had, and thought I could really use 1 more car.  So I decided to buy a rust free dart to make into a street brawler.   Here are few pics.  More to come when I actually get the car.  That slant is available for FREE to any one who wants it ...

That is one sweet car Chad. She is a perfect little cream puff.  Grin I'll keep an eye out in the local Craigslist for the driver's side parking lense. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted.

I agree on keeping the factory buckets and console. Are you going to get started right away?

Nice car, they're getting harder to find out here, most of them have gone ..... well to where you are lol

Too bad I couldn't grab that slant while it was here but those transport folk frown on pushing and winching cars up and down the trailer

Good luck on it, should be damn nice

Here is a link to the E-bay listing, (hope this does not constitute breaking any rules on B B D, if so let me know and I'll remove it)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=150242731271&rd=1

it cost $756.00 to transport it from Scottsdale AZ to Wilkesbarre, PA I will have to drive 55 miles to pick it up in Wilkesbarre.   The transport company wanted $345 to bring it from Wilkesbarre to my house, no way it can cost $0.30 per mile to bring it 2500 miles from AZ and then $6.72 per mile to finish the last 55 miles.   So I will be finishing the trip for them.

The interior needs some help like a head liner and a front seat cover ( my best friend is an upholstery guy and is going to slap a seat cover together for me for free) but it does start run and drive so I will probably drive it as is for the rest of the summer and then tear into it over the winter  ...

Thanks for all the nice compliments on the car.  It will be so nice to finally start with a rust free car and spend the major time doing roll bar, motor upgrades, suspension mods and mini tubbing instead of weeks fixing rust holes ... motorinstall

Yeah, has a Ferrarri to the left and a '69 Cuda 440 to the right.   I thought the setting of those pictures looked familiar.   That guy had the turqoise 'Cuda up for auction a while back.  Had a pretty high reserve and it didn't sell...
