I finally went out to replace my wiper pivot seals, and quickly realized that it was going to be a major PITA, so I decided that it was probably time to rewire my car. It's had electrical problems since I got it. I want to replace everything, except for the ignition box wiring, since that's fairly new. I'll also use the bulb sockets that are in it, but I'll clean them up pretty good first. When I was pulling the motor, I found that one of the starter wires shorted to the exhaust at some point, so that will have to be replaced too. I found this 20 fuse, 23 circuit harness from Speedway for $150. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/2345,385_20-Fuse-23-Circuit-Wiring-Harness.htmlI like this kit, because it fits into my budget, and it's got a large capacity. This would give me something to work on before my motor parts get here, and my while the blocks in the shop. More than I will ever need. But it says that it comes with GM type steering column connectors. I'm wondering if anybody has used this kit, and how difficult it is to modify the steering column connectors. I'm also planning to get a dash insert from Redline and adding a set of decent gauges, probably from Auto-meter. Also, would I need to get a dash harness like this one? http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/2357,385_Universal-Dash-Harness.htmlI really like the Ron Francis kits, but if I can make this one work I'll do that. Any help would be great.

The wiring harness kit looks good , I think the dash harnes will be useles to you unles you are replacing all of the guages with aftermarket ... Use your old steering column connector from the stock harness and solder the new wiring kit to it.
