theres a thread on fabo and moparts about it.. both say it was even worse this year then last year. about sums it up. Really wish someone would of gave me fair warning. Lets see $41 in gas, $25 to get in the show,$6 EZ pass toll For a grand total of $72....At the very least I saw some friends and had good weather and a nice long drive with the car.
What a sad, sad turnout. I havent been to the show the last couple of years. I always would hear/read about the turnouts and how bad it was becoming. I was always a little skeptical about the review and thought the weather played a big part in it........... WELL, This year I finally went, the weather was AWESOME! and let me tell you the turnout was down right depressing. Remembering what the show used to be in the beginning to what it is now ..........I really can't believe how absolutely pathetic it has become.I could only imagine what Sunday is going to be like because I will not be there, Its time for this show to have it's looooooooooooong overdue proper burial.

the only times i ever had a problem hooking is when it was bitter cold in the start or end of the season, at night. i would bet it was loaded with late model chargers, magnums, and 300s that all insisted on doing water burnouts. if there isnt really anything powerful running, they dont prep it all that well. i went once on the first night they opened, it wasnt the season opener just some nice weather so they opened a little early, i swear it was like driving on ice, nothing was breaking out of the 13s. yesterday i went out to the jalopy showdown in PA, im glad i made that choice. i thought about going to etown today but i probably wont.

well it was cool, it was out by carlisle, i think it was latimore valley fairgrounds. pretty much traditional hotrods and customs, small swap meet, a few flame throwers, camping, bands, and you could make a few laps around the old dirt track which was pretty muddy. i couldnt see taking my car through the mud, it isnt even that nice, but it sure was fun watching other guys do it. i have a bunch of pics i might put on photobucket.
