Fender braces

Do the fender braces on a 68 Dart connect to the bumper support?That seems to be the only logical place but the don't quite reach.I have seen braces that are straight but mine are angled on the ends.I am sure they came off of this car.Any thoughts?

Are you talking about the braces that run from the inner fender to the wheel lip? I think the 68's had them and the 69's did not.

Yes, the ones on the lower portion of the fender in front of the wheelwell go to the bumper bracket. I don't think I have any pics handy, though.

Yes, 69' had them too. Here's the best pic i have, you can's see where it connect's to the fender in this pic

never mind that twisted piece of steel hanging off it, I was drilling holes for the puke bottle LOL
