Who has run 2x3 frame connectors into the rear frame rails?

I've seen a thread about this before, but can't seem to find it. I'd like to see some pics of this type of installation.

 thank you

That plate that's sticking down. Did you use that tie wrap back into the frame??

Thanks for the pics. Very helpful.

yes and no. That was the original intent. Now they are trimmed up and not there anymore. Got in the way of Brake lines and Fuel lines......the original subframe is sandwiched between the 2X3 and a plate that cups the original subframe. I rosset welded the subframe to my connectors that were slide in and then I rosset welded 2X3 that was cut in half over the subframe.....OVER ENGINEERED. Glad I could help! Grin

I dropped some 2x3 tubing into my frame when I replaced the floorboard in my car. The rails are not in lign, so I cut a small "V" on opposite sides of the tubes. Then trimmed them a little to make them lign up. Tac the "V", take the 2x3 out and weld it up, then drop it back into the frame and weld.

I did this to my Dart and also added a 4 link. Now I'm a bit stumped over where to run the fuel lines. I will need 2 lines (probably about 1/2") because I need a return for the EFI. Anyone have some pics of this?
