TRYING TO PUT THIS MONSTER TOGETHER AND I`M TOTALLY CONVINCED NOW, EINSTEIN WAS NOT IN MY FAMILY. FIRST OF ALL THIS CAR IS A WIRING DISASTER, I FOUND OUT AFTER PURCHASE. I`M TRYING TO INSTALL AN MSD SYSTEM AND I KEEP RUNNIG INTO SNAGS. 6AL AND BLASTER SS #8207 ARE INSTALLED BUT NOT HOOKED UP YET. THE ALT HAS 2 WIRES, A #10 WIRE COMES FROM THE SOLENOID AND IS RING CONNECTED TO THE ALT. AND THERE IS A WIRE W/PLUG AND IT IS LABELED COIL NEG.  ?? NOW THE MSD 6AL HAS AN ORANGE & A BLACK WIRE THAT GO TO THE BLASTER AND IT SAYS NO OTHER WIRES GO TO THE COIL. (    YIKES!!) THEN THERE IS THIS BLUE BOX #P-3690732 THAT WAS NEVER CONNECTED. THIS HAS ME IN A TAIL SPIN. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME AN IDEA ON ALL THIS PLEASE? MANY THANX

first and formost ... turn off the caps lock ....
OK the wire with the ring terminal that is labled coil neg is proably a feed for the tach ... it now needs to go to the tach port on the msd box.
the # 10 wire to the starter relay is ok but it effectivly bypasses the alt guage in the dash ...
the other wire on the alt goes to the voltage regualtor wich by the way is part # P-3690732 .... the other side of the volt regualtor goes to a source that is hot when the key is on (not the CAPS lock key) ...

well i don`t scream at anyone and if that`s a means of screaming at someone, my apologies. i use caps so i can read what i`m writing. the eyes are going and i still don`t understand what that guy was trying to say about my question.

i use caps so i can read what i`m writing. I agree...........I can't see shit any more without mine. Wireing is a nightmare on these old cars. You have know idea what some other idiot before you did. I assume you have all the diagrams for hooking it up from MSD. If not you can probably find them on the web. Also MSD tech support might be able to help. I don't know much about MSD as I use Pertronics. Someone on here will know for sure. You also could try www.forabodiesonly.comJim

Lineloc,,,don't feel singled out ,,,everyone that uses Caps Lock gets chastised,,,it is the international symbol for shouting,,internet etiquette strongly advises against it unless you are making an anger interlaced point ! It is like poor punctuation, it makes it hard to read & comprehend . There are lots of visually challenged & old folks on here too !!! Seems to me 68 Val Sedan did an excellent job figuring out what you're wires are ---remember it's all about communication here--there's no hands on ---he added humor about cap locks too ! yes and no prob. thank you. all is good. by the way, i own a 67 val sedan. any pics of yours so i can see what a valiant`s supposed to look like? mine is a hacked up racecar and whoever wired this thing probably did it in the dark. it` a mess but i`ll get it straightened out someday. thanks again,,gene

actually my 68 valiant has recently moved to a new garage and is no longer mine , I am currently waiting for my 67 dart to arrive from Arizona. I like the name so I will be keeping it even though I do not own the car.

All MSD come with a mopar diagram, check their website, they had downloads for all their products.
