would not use it in a car again myself. used it on an escort once to fill a hole then bondo over it . made it rust out even faster . the foam holds a lot of moisture

Maybe cover it with seam sealer afterwards to keep moisture out? Just a thought.

Hilti makes a low expanding foam that works better than great stuff.

I'd use that before the Great Stuff. If you fill it too full with Great Stuff you can actually displace/deform what you are filling. I blew apart a firring strip/cement wall when I over filled it. Not just a little either, it was blown wide open.

Just dont use it in a car! Years ago a co-worker filled his panels behind the interior with the stuff, it squeaked everytime he hit a bump until he cut it out a few monts later. Riding in his car was like being inside a carboard box with a ton of styrofoam!

i could see how it can be noisy. i think im going to use fiberglass. i just put a rear firewall to isolate the fuel cell, battery, and nitrous bottle from the interior, but but im having a hard time sealing some areas between the fenderwell and quarter panel.
Then you definately DONT want to use the spray foam, when it burs, it is highly toxic. it will kill you faster than smoke inhalation. bad news for a racecar.
