I am in the process of finishing up on my Dart and would like to Know what would be the best insulation to use under the carpeting. The car is not being restored to original condition so my options are open. It's a 4-speed car without a console so it's a pretty straight forward install. I haven't even bought the carpet yet, so I am open to reccomendations for that also. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Benny

When I did mine, I went for the insulation that has a very dense type bubble material between two foil skins. It gives you a decent heat shield and sound deadener. I don't like the insulation that has the jute backing. it can absorb moisture. So whatever type you go with, stay away from anything that can hold moisture. As far as carpet goes, I had mine done at a shop due to tubs in back seat. Too many contours for me to deal with.

Thanks for the fast response. Is the insulation you are speaking of similar to "Dynamat Automotive Products"? Summit has it, along with a few other types of insulation. As for carpet, I think I will just get a set from Year One. Again, thanks for the info. Any help is always , greatly appreciated. Thanks, Benny
