Alterktion question for Bill
« on: May 27, 2008, 11:09:02 PM »

I read that the Alterkation setup comes with choice of motor mount perches. My question is can you get it with perches for other than mopar motors?

Henry Ford once said that you could "have a car in any color you want........... as long as it's black........"
Bill Reilly once said "you can have anyAlterktion you want............................ as long as it's Mopar...................." Cool

Y'all will hate me for saying this, but I have a surprising number of customers that buy systems without mounts so they can install.... a big chevy.
And because of that, I can tell you that I don't sell other mounts, but the common street rod mount kits are easy to put onto our frame.
In their defense, most of them are in a similar situation - Dad races Chevy's, so they have extra engines around for free, but they ended up with a Mopar for one reason or another.

Dan, I have some Slants here, I might be able to do something, although it'd probably cost a few bucks more than the regular mounts...

Bill, I have your Alterktion installed in my 64 dart, however because of a job loss and a desire to return to school, Im considering holding off on my 5.7 hemi intall until later down the road. I have 5.7 motor mounts, but my idea was to buy a donor car with a good running slant six and transmission.  So Id be interested aswell in /6 motor mounts. Im in the process of moving right now, but by summers end Id be ready for them. I sent you and email asking this vary question before I even read this post. By doing so youd be helping getting a project on the road instead of it sitting in a garage covered up for who knows how long. Please?

P.S. My alterktion install went easy thanks to your install notes.

Take it easy guys, I'm not putting anything but a mopar in my dart when i change the front end again. I was thinking of putting the front end in a 62 corvette i've been building for 20 years to get rid of the king pins. Thanks for the info Bill.
