Electric control panels??
« on: May 31, 2008, 02:22:45 AM »

This is for a race duster, has anyone used one of the aftermarket control
panels with starter button and switch's for fuel pump, fan, etc??

What brand did you choose and were you happy with your choice?

I plan on keeping the ignition key in the steering columb, but only
for locking the steering wheel when parked.

The whole car needs to be upgraded as far as wiring goes and I don't
need accessory stuff like stereo or A/C-heater.

Opinions please.

CA...........Painless makes a couple different panels, with a number of switches. If you want to save youself some cash, buy the switches separetly and put them in a panel you make yourself. Check Jegs or Summit for either/or

My dart has the Moroso rocker panel for the dash . Been a good piece just make sure to use relays the breakers don't like 20 amp draws.
The wifeys Elco has a Chassisworks toggle overhead panel. It comes with the cage mount and  has buss type fuses. Its more forgiving on the higher amperage draws.
