Beging to really like my 74 Duster(pics)
« on: June 01, 2008, 12:25:08 AM »

I put this Duster together for my twins(19 years old).It has parts that are left over from other projects.

Went out last Thursday night and didn't take the race car and the 67 Dart is down with cam problems.Just took the 74 Dart.my 3 sons and I took turns making passes.Have not had this much fun in a long tim

My son J had the best time and best reaction time of 12.31 and a reation time of .002 off the juice.

Here's a little of whats in the car.

   440 ci,Schmacher headers,holley 780 vacum secondary's Performer RPM intake.Mopar .528 solid cam.

Well built 727 with 3200 rpm convertor.

8 1/4 rearend with Auburn center and 3.91 gears.

I had some Hoosier qt pro's26x9.5x26 out back but they wore them out so today I installed some MT ET Streets 26x11.5x26 don't know yet how they are going to work.

/6 torsion bars /6 rear springs.

Just a fun car that I'm now fighting my sons to drive.

If my spellings wrong that's how it is.

The reason tire cost is high.Thx J

Nice!  And what a cool dad.  I'd give anything to have something my dad & I  could enjoy together like that.

The kids don't get to race the car unless they make sure it's ready to run.
