Do all manual steering boxes have a master spline.I bought this box used.Its on my 73 duster and I cant center my steering wheel.

turn it to tires stop and then turn the opposite way and count the revolusions to stop. trun the opposite way and count half way. level the steering wheel and attach the shaft to the box.

yup. couldnt find the master on the coupler of mine either. did exactly as described above. worked fine after I cleaned up the splined insides with a jewlers file.

Not to steel your post, but how do you know how to "clock" the pitman arm on a box?

There are usually 4 missing splines on the steering box output shaft, 90 deg. apart. The pitman should have at least 1 doublewidth spline, to align with the missing spline on the shaft.
