10x2.5" drums, Aimco 8878, is the plain unfinned drums for 7.25 to 8.75 for most chrylsers. The Aimco 8877 is for the later 5thAves and dippys. Its a much heavier drum with fins. It also overlaps the backing plate by 1/2". I think they are interchangeable....am I correct? I think the only problem is the finned drums require 15 rather than 14 inch wheels. Anyone know for sure?
