Probably 6.5"?  Check out the thread at the top of the page on tires and rims.

Go to a GOOD wheel and tire store.  they will have a tool that will tell you exactly what size to buy so you don't buy something and get it home and it won't fit.  Jegs and summit well the tool too, I think its around $80-$90.

I just check by using two lug nuts to hold a piece of flat stock to the face of the drum/disc.  Cut you a 10" piece of flat stock, set it on top of the flat stock you bolted to the drum/disc.  Get it where you want it in the well, and mark the 10" horizontal piece against the back of the vertical piece.  Measure from that mark to the end, viola, there's your backspacing.

I just did exactly what you're looking for. I ordered 7 5/8" backspace steelies from wheel vintiques and am running 325/50/15 MTs. I know the backspace seems high but measure it yourself and you'll see. I know that someone else on here ran 7 1/2" BS with a similar setup

Stock A-Body length rear end?  This is what I'm going to be doing as well.  I hope to order the wheels/tires in the next few weeks.

Yeah I cut my Dana 60 down, can't remember the length off the top of my head, but I believe the backspacing was VERY close to that.

I would guess around 7.5 backspacing also.  I had a set of 15x10 with 6.5 and they would be o.k. on a duster or something like that but it was a no go on my 67 Dart even with the quarter lip trimmed back.  I have a stock with a-body 8 3/4 rear by the way.

Ask Tom (aka bb69rr).  He did 10" steel wheels, stock a body Dana 60.   If I remember correctly, he had 7.5" back space.

Uh, no. I am not god.  lol

Yes I have your tires and wheels with 7.25" back space on a stock A body length rear. BUT..... I have 2.5"  brake spacing (axle flange to tube flange distance) for disk brakes. Not sure what it is for drums. I had to trim 3/8" off of the lip to get 11/16" clearance on each side of the tire. The inside edge of the wheel moulding is now flush with the inner lip.

I would buy the tires, get them under the car, shim the inside of the tire for a 10" wheel, and measure backspace.

After waiting for Stockton Wheel to complete my order after 2 months, I cancelled my order and went to Wheel Vintiques. They were custom made and on my door in 3 1/2 weeks.
