I'm trying to make up my mind as to whether I should go with the fiberglass hump from Brewers or the steel hump from Keisler for my '74 Duster. I'm leaning towards the fiberglass unit, due to the fact that it definitely won't rust, costs less than the steel one, and I can bolt it into place using rivnuts and be able to remove it in the future should he need ever arise.
Anyone have an opinion either way as to which one would be best to go with?

If you are going to race the car, you may want to stick with steel. And even then, you should have a trans shield. Fiberglass should be fine for the street.

when we put the shield in my dad's we used a roof off a rusted out dart, had it fabbed and put in, only cost us about $50, and it's held in by screws, really easy to take out the tranny now.

spot weld in the steel one. shouldn't need to remove it, and will add to the floor rigidity. better for mounting the shift boot, bezel, etc.
