Bumblebee stripe
« on: June 04, 2008, 09:58:03 PM »

I going to paint the bumblebee stripe on my 70 Dart (yellow body white top & stripe). I need to know the dimensions, starting point, stripe size, space between strips, also looking for Dart Swinger stencils, any info or suggestion will be appreciate.
Thanks

The rear stripe on my son's 72 Dart Swinger is not stock, put it is painted on and like your car, his car is yellow with a white stripe and a white vinyl top, so you can at least see what it will look like when you're done.  Grin

If you want it right, find a original car at the local car show and have your verneer caliper with you. Get permission and map it out. Remeber to get references off the body (corners, marker lights/reflectors, top & bottom) so the angle can be recreated equally on both sides. With these references and pictures any body shop worth it's weight in Spam can reproduce your stripes correctly. The more info you have, the less they have to guess and the happier you'll be with the outcome.
