I know this sounds bad but every time I go to pull a windshield, it cracks! I don't know what I'm doing wrong and any advise would be most welcome.

Razor blade along the outside edge.....then a piece of welding wire, pulled all the way around the window. Two man job --tug of war job with the wire

Cut the outside edge of the seal off? I was always trying to save the seal so I could reuse it. Can you still get windshilds for the Dusters?
