dash frame question

Hey all i just wanted to know...

Is the dash frame apart of the structural support of the cars (I mean E-Body, A-Body, B-Body, etc.)

Dash frames are different between all separate chasises and generally swap as a whole between similarly designed cars. (dashes will swap Valiant to Dart but not Challenger or Monaco to Dart)

thanks guys  thank you i knew that the dashes between the different body styles wouldn't swap. i was asking because i want to take the heavy stock dash frame out and fabricate a lighter one some time in the near future (starting with my challenger... test subject)
