Traction Problems, I wonder Why, but its working for now.
« on: June 12, 2008, 12:04:48 AM »

The first pic, is a just a launch. On that launch, all we did was, just stall it up to 3000 and let her rip. When She went into second gear , I think that stopped our tires from spinning!

Then the second pic, is a shot of our suspension setup, with the M/T drag radials, Caltracs, and the forbiden Air Shocks.  4 speed   Cheers    !nanr

the only thing is the  grainy cement on the road and the  smooth ashfalt at the track react very diferently to street  tires and suspensions.....for instance some tires will get a better bit on the road cement because the uneven tire thread will mesh better with the grainy road cement...same goes for a slick... a straight patern thread won't have as much surface contact area with the grainy road cement...compared to a smoother track surface..........that's probably why shes doing what shes doing

So spinng the tires all the way through first gear is a good thing ?  I would think you would want the car to hook immediatly and allow you to accelerate s fast as possible, not wait unitl second gear to put all the power down .   Just my opinion .... keep on keepin on ...

thats why we was doing those launches, I can't remember what that pressure was at that time, but we ended up with a 18.5 psi gave us the most even tread pattern! At the track we got a lowest ever 60ft of 1.67 . launching at 2000 stall. We have to have 50psi in our airshocks to keep our tires from rubbing. Now our best 60ft before we installed the Caltracs and MT street DR's was a 1.86 with street tires and easing it off the line.We want some 1.5's out of it!
