I have a 71 Dart that I'm building and have got a 8.75 rear end with the 4.5 inch lug bolt pattern and need to change out the front to the same. The front has factory disc brakes already but with the small bolt pattern. There wouldn't be an easy way to change to the larger pattern would there, like just changing out the rotors and hubs? I'm guessing the spindles would need to be changed also? Any help out there? Thank guys, Wes

Look here: https://www.jimsautoparts.com/brake.htmThat shows what it takes for the swap and kits. That's where I got mine for the '67. You'll also need the upper control arms and lower ball joints. So if you get it from them, you'll get all new parts and a great kit to install, definitely worth the money for good new parts.

From what I can tell from all the info out there is that the 65-67 Rotors will work with a machined spacer between the hub and inner bearing. Go to the SSBC website and check out their kit with the aluminum four piston K-H looking calipers. I think that's what they have done. I have seen the hubs redrilled for the large pattern, but it sure didn't look safe to me as the studs no longer went through both the rotor and hub.

No direct experience but I've heard lots of bad stuff about Jims auto parts.
Back to the topic, one option is to use the (easier to find) early 80s stuff .. my spindles and out is from a 85 5th avenue, the only thing i had to track down was some 73-76 upper arms. Then bought the moog part numbers found on this site, and viola..

Dallasdart Hey thanks for the info on the web site for the ford rotors. I have a metal lathe and the work required on the rotors is a snap. I got different seals that fit better and everything will go together just perfect and I will save a lot of money this way. The rotors come with 7/16ths bolts but they can be changed out to 1/2in with little trouble. Thanks again. Wes

Dunno, just got brakes. Everything else has been easy to find. Glad it worked out cheap. That actually sounds like an awesome solution for disc brake cars...
