Wiring diagram for mutiple rpm shift light

Looking for a wiring diagram so I could wire up a diff shift rpm for 1-2 and 2-3 shifts on the same lightI'm sure I'm just brain dead from being in the garage to long.

Thats what I was thinking and then a micro switch on the shifter.

how about just using 2 realys ?  on for 1st /second and another for second 3rd ... make the triger of one relay go to the 1/2 source and the second relay the the 2/3 trigger and tie the out puts of the two realys to the shift light, would save putting a switch on the shifter ... I could draw something up and scan it in if you need ...
