She's a beaut. I'm several hours from the coast so...

I caught a few Bluegills today. Biggest was a lunker at about 4", smallest was around a 1/3". I like freshwater because when you can catch bigger fish for the species a lot easier. It's also lots of fun wading through the creeks...

That's one neat looking fish. Congrats. I've always wanted to catch a big stergeon, or a big musky.

I was supposed to go with the mens group at church Sat. They are going on the Chesapeake for stripers, rock fish, which ever name you prefer. I called my fishing buddy to see if he wanted to go. Instead I got wrangled into going to Phili to pick up an 87 stang T-Top for his son. While he was in Iraq he had us shopping for an 04 GT. So that was waithing for him when he got home. Now, he's in Korea, and we have to go get this one. Damn lap tops. Oh well, I have another friend with a 31 foot off shore boat and he's taking us out for Tuna. All we have to do is split expenses. Like filling the 200 gallon fuel tank. Will post pics when we go, Joe

Ever try Pike? When I go on vacation I'll be hitting the creeks for 'em.

Looks like "bag all fish guts, then put in dumpster."

Do sturgeon bite the hook, or do you snag them like paddlefish?

Correct.

Never caught a paddlefish but I guess it's similar. You wait for the fish to swallow then set real hard and always keeping tension or the hook will pop out.
