My money my choice. If the government is going to tell me what I am to drive they better admit that A) There is no such thing as democracy and B) they better buy me a damn car cause I sure as F*%& won't drive something I don't enjoy that I paid for.

To answer your post question without reading anything, I'd say.

Welfare recipients, Illegal aliens, government workers, union employees, and now Guantanamo detainees.

lol close but no cigar. Canadian government issue not american. The canadian government is offering rebates for anyone who "cares about the environment" and gets rid of their cars that are older then 1995

Old cars = gas guzzlers, my ass.

My sister had a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt until it was written off in an accident. My 1992 Tempo (v6-5 speed vs. the Cobalt's 4cyl auto) was better on gas on the highway and not a whole lot worse in the city. Not bad considering it had 220,000km more on the clock and was 15 years older. Oh, it's still ticking, too. Also passed the emissions test with flying colours.

Tree huggers need to get their heads out of their asses and realize that "old cars" are not to blame for 100% of the world's population.

It will be a frosty day in July before I own a vehicle NEWER than 1995, of any brand.

Yep, the hippies are ruining the economy and the hobby. They also are poluting our roadways with idiotic driving...

I love telling people that with the stock motor my car would see around 29 mpg, but I get 13 with the more fun motor and wouldn't have it any other way.

Our government offers the rebates for turning in your old 95 and under gas guzzling clunker. How is it that new cars don't get much better mileage than the 70's models, yet the older cars are gas guzzlers? Answer: Smoke and mirrors. Big lie. I was talking to a cop about the 95 and under cars, My question to him was if the OBDII computers had something to do with it. He said, absolutely! Any cop could plug into your car and write you a ticket for emmissions or tampering with the computer. There is also rumor of being able to turn your car off if you do not have current inspection or tags, warrants, etc. Pay your ticket, fix your emmission problem, renew tag or inspection and you can have your car turned back on.
