Temporary? Looks good enough for Gov't work. But how does the battery fit in there with the remote filter?

The battery (Optima Yellow top) is in the trunk close to the right rear wheel.

Do these batteries (Optima) need to be in a sealed box to pass tech?

Just went to that site and was checking out the springless valvetrain. I've seen that someplace once before. Kind of reminds me of Ducati's desmodromic valve system. I wonder how much that setup costs. Looks like you need everything from the cam up. Probably BIG BUCKS.

Optima in a sealed container? I hope not. Wire holders? I don't remember the brand but I bought them at Jim Green's performance in Lynnwood WA. They do have a website: http://www.jimgreensperformance.com/If you call them ask for Paul or Chris

I haven't had my battery(s) in a box yet and have had no complaints. The book says the battery(s) must be solidly mounted with 3/8" hardware. I've run two group 31 ( BIG lead/acid diesel truck batteries; ballast) and now use the Optimas. I highly recommend using the optima style batteries or the Delco non-serviceable batteries in the trunk as the acid gets everywhere if you don't. At least with the Delcos, you can put a hose on the vent and direct it outside if you have to (like the old 68 SS Dart forklift batteries did).

If I'm not incorrect the only time the battery has to be in a box is when you DO NOT have sheet metal blocking the trunk from the passengers compartment. I don't remember the thickness, cant find my #@#@ rule book
