Holley electric pump noise

When these things start getting loud and sound erratic, is it the pump that needs rebuilding or the motor?

The pump,,, I changed the vanes with a kit from Holley, and found some dirt around the internal bypass. The pressure came back and it runs smooth now. It's a worth while effort, every few years, along with the new pick up strainer.  Grin

My Holley Pro Billet (black) is quiet.  Can hardly hear it even with the engine off.

The last sound I heard from my Holley pump was when it hit the bottom of the garbage can.
