My tail housing casting broke due to? I am trying to remove the housing and it wont seperate more than an inch from the trans, I have all the bolts out and cant figure it out. Thank in advance!

under the trans mount there is a plate with two screws, take them off and remove the big c-clip, then it will come off. Steve

 The tail shaft probably broke because the tranny or a motor mount is bad ...

Thank you for that info! I have now found that the spring that held the park cable into the park portion of the case failed. I found a dollar (silver sized that is) on the passenger side of the housing.You folks here RULE!!! PS: Steve De Tar, I met a retired police oficer from Kansas in Las Wages At The dirt track for The Western Allstars Dirt Late Models on the same weekend as the cup race. I asked him if he ever heard of the Kansas Bad Man, He replied, you mean " The Tar"! That was cool!
