aftermarket or stock electronic distributor???
« on: June 25, 2008, 06:20:49 PM »

I am in the process of building an engine (383) that will be putting out between 450-500 hp when it is complete. I will not be racing it except maybe to see what it will do in a 1/4 just for fun. 4 speed So, what would be the best way to go as far as the complete ignition setup ie. ; distributor, voltage regulator, coil, etc..

you can also use a factory electronic distributer. You will need to get inside it and remove the larger of the 2 advance springs. Or buy the spring kit .

I've considering the conversion set with the orange ECU. The distributor has the high performance advance curve built into it. Is this the distributor that you are speaking about?

I've always used the Mopar Performance distributor with MSD.  Never skipped a beat.

It takes a Mopar to catch a Mopar.

I have had good luck on my 383 daily driver with my MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD Blaster Hi Vibration coil, MSD wires and MSD6AL box.
