The speedo gear from my 727 appears to not be compatible w/ my stock speedo cable from my Dart. It had a /6-904 in it. Has anyone else come across this w/ their builds?......  Jay |

Yes, the speedo drives have changed design several times over the years. Just use the drive and housing out of your 904, it should fit. You have to fit the housing correctly or either the speedo won't work or you'll chew up the speedo gear. I can explain if you don't know how to do it.

Yes please explain. Is the drive that you're referring to the part in the tailshaft that the speedo gear locks into? Or is it something else?
