Topic: I'll try one more time. I need a floor!! (Read 621 times)

I've gotten tons of leads about the floor piece that I need with no actual results.
Does anybody have the floor piece that goes underneath the seat, between the front and rear floor pan, on the driver's side, of a 67-76 A-body? I need it badly, and soon! It's going to be what's holding me up from driving the car, before I know it.
If you have one, and are coming to Carlisle, I will pay cold hard cash for it! Name your price and we will meet up! If you have one and are not going to Carlisle, I will pay shipping from the moon if that's what it takes.
Somebody's got to have one they want to part with, Adam

I've got both driver side and passenger side floors already cut out of a 75 Duster. They go from just above the bottom of the firewall line to the back seat. I can send some pics if you would like. I'm not going to Carlisle but I know someone who is and maybe if he has room he can bring them along. Let me know. Ken Edison, NJ rider1454@aol.com

Man, that would be awesome. Please send pictures to me, either post here or email to adampietkiewicz@hotmail.com with a price. Even if your friend doesn't have room to bring them along, I would pay shipping costs to get my grubby paws on these pieces. Next time I'm buying an Arizona car!!!! Adam

I'm on it. I'll get the pictures and find out if my friend can take these things. Also what route will you be taking to get to Carlisle. Will you be passing through New Jersey?

Thanks alot!
We go into the U.S.A at the 1000 Islands Parkway in Western NYS and take I-81 south all the way. Where in NJ are you? Perhaps it wouldn't be TOO out of the way.

I'm in Edison, central part of NJ. If you come down 81 you'll have to make a detour east to get to where I am. It's up to you. The only thing is that I'm leaving on Saturday to take my 7 year old daughter on a cruise to Nova Scotia and St. John. Do a mapquest and see how far it is. I would say about an hour and a half from where Rt 380 hooks up with Rt 80.

I bought these pans from Chad aka slowmotion here on the board. I sold a 75 Duster along with all the parts to put it back together (these pans included) to one Nick Perry who lives close to you. It seems the slimey little POS decided not to pay me the balance for the car and all of the parts that I sent with it. It was really cool that the board members came together to get this boy a car and get it transported to him for the cost of fuel. Kinda irks me that I see parts that I was never paid for up for sale again. I've been trying to contact him for some time now in the hopes that he would make things right, but to no avail. I'd be thankful for any information you can offer as to how I can get ahold of Nick or where you may have picked these pans up. Thanks, Ray

Hi Ray. I sent you an email with the contact information from that SOB. That's the car that I bought from Nick and is now quite the Ruster Duster. It's being taken apart for the parts that I need and am selling the rest. The picture you listed shows the car to be in decent shape but when I saw it, it seems to have deteriorated quite a bit.
I sent you his address and phone number along with the link to the Craigslist ad that I used to buy the car.
Good luck and I hope that you get what is owed to you.

Ken / Jason / Joe, I don't know who set the ball in motion, but Nick sent a MO out to me and made good on everything. Thank you! Ray

Sorry for the confusion. What I needed was the part under the front seats. I had already bought and installed front pans--- Also, if oyu look at pictures, Year One has an improved floor pan available now for the front, and it fits awesome! I bought them there, the "other" ones have slits cut in them to accoutn for bends, etc...the ones from Year One are top quality, thick, and fit perfectly. I highly reccomend buying them from Year One (and no, I don't work for them ) Thanks again guys! I swung by Ken's place on the way to Carlisle and picked up the floors along with a windshield and some trim from that Duster. I better get wrenching now...there's a kick ass B.B.D. waiting to emerge from that pile of rust and parts that I want to drive. Adam

Just installed a driver front pan; I bought 2- one from year one, one from autobody. Exact same pan, they fit together like a glove ( same manufacturer). But came way big, I had to trim a lot off at the rear, and trans hump. If you got the front and rear, and could salvage the lone front seat mount sheetmetal, you could probably just weld in some flat stock under the seat.
