If anyone cares the "new style" master cylinder off the M bodies weighs 3.98 pounds less than the stock cast iron one..

If you think about it, if one were to use the light m/c, the light starter, an aluminum intake in place of the factory piece, headers in place of manifolds, an aluminum radiator, and a glass hood, a big block A body probably weighs about the same as a small block one in the front. Hmmmmmmm.
