Has Any Of You Guys Run 3 Inch From Header All The Way Back. Will My Car Perform Better. Its A 440 With A Small Street Cam Mi Intake And 750 Holley. Fenderwell Headers. I Picked Up A Set Of Bullit Muflers From Summit. 3 In 3 Out. Or Did I Just  Out The Door.

I have. It's loud. I'd go w/ 2.5" if I were to do it again. Performance wise, I dont think you'd gain anything other than already having it there if you beef up your motor in the future.

If you go too big you will reduce your exhaust gas speed, which will reduce the scavenging effect of your headers, which will...........you get the picture... reduce performance.

maybe on a 4-cylinder ya... but 3in on a ...even mild big block isn't to big ...it just plain works

i have a full 3 inch exhaust from jegs on my 69 cuda and its a tigt fit in the area where the tail pipes go over the rear axles. it sounds real bad.

cant go wrong with 3" on a hot rodded v-8, especially a big block. dont expect it to be quite with bullet mufflers though.
