 Hey Chad,

   Did you think about trimming the flange away where the firewall and floor meet for more tranny clearance ?   I had to bend that lip flat so the trans didn't hit, Now is a good time to weld that joint and cut off that flange all together.

That's a good idea Mike ... I didn't think of it ,but I will be mocking up the block,heads, and tranny once the alterk gets here ... I will be sure to beat that puppy back and out of the way if needed ....

512 inch stroker, roller cam, eddy heads ported to max wedge size, repro max wedge intake, 727 auto, and dana 60  ....

If you shim the body up 1" at the K frame, the X ram will clear the firewall. You could move the engine forward an inch but you may have radiator issues. The rear core plug boss will have to be shaved flush with the plug. Can't wait to see it done.

Pics of the torsion bar Alterkation.  This baby bolted together like butter .... smooth ... now  I have to get the front tires mounted to the rims and mock up the motor and trans .....
