If you have 67-76 bigblock a-body could you do me a huge favor and measure the distance from the firewall/hood seam to the air cleaner stud (as though it were long enough to touch the hood) and from the fender/hood edge(s)?  I put this in the body/paint section but no love yet Sad
I want to hack a hole in my hood and close is good enough for me hammer

put a stud in the carb just long enough to put a dent in the hood.......shut the hood on the stud.  you have a mark

I don't have the motor in yet.  I am prepping for paint and have a steel scoop I want to weld onto my hood but need to cut first.  I plan to get a glass hood later so perfect is not important.

73 440 duster w/ schumacher mounts.  torker II with a holley


firewall to carb stud.  1 foot.  give or take a half inch or so

also keep in mind the engine is offset to the pass side by about 2"

Mine is 13" from the cowl and 30.5" from the driver fender, almost 28.5" from the pass fender.
I use a stock tranny mount so it should be close.
