Where to stay in Harrisburg Pa

I'm just booking a room for Carlisle can anyone suggest a place, or area, in Harrisburg that I should be looking at. I will be bringing the  so no Motel 8 for me      . Thanx Quinn

the Hilton downtown is a decent place and there are some restaurants and bars with in walking distance

Did you fly into Harrisburg International Airport?  Did you see all the rocking chairs?

Ditto on the Hilton.
The Raddison in Camp Hill is another good one - Comedy Club and good food in the hotel.
If 'Da Boss' is not into the show, there is plenty to do shopping and sight seeing wise.
Usually everything is booked by now, but the fuel and economy is keeping people close to hom ethis year. You should have no problems finding a good place.

I arrived at harrisburg International airport. I was meeting my sister in law to drive a refrigerated truck she bought in Pa back to Clearwater, Fla.   I arrived an hour and a half before she did, so I asked the information lady where was a good place to wait. She replied "Just grab a rocking chair".   I looked around and realized the entire perimeter of this airport was black and white rocking chairs. had to be 500 of them.   Everyone was sittin' in these things. Made me want to get one when I got home.

Last year we rolled into town at 4am and didn't want to pay $130+ for a Motel 6 for the 5 hours that we'd be sleeping there. Slept in the car at a Flying J's in Carlisle.

If anybody sees two young redneck lookin' dudes in a busted-ass blue Tempo with Ontario plates, stop and say hi.

We're staying at the Econo Lodge.  Pretty basic, but close to the grounds.  Fine for a bunch of guys sitting around drinking beer and BSing about cars.

Sounds good dude, I still haven't booked a hotel yet. I'll try to remember to find something tomorrow. Will be leaving Ottawa probably Friday morning bright and early and probably leaving PA Sunday afternoon.
