With a flat hood, or are you planning on running a scoop?

I currently have one of the Demon scoops on a flat hood. I'm not sure how much cutting I will have to do. I'm pretty sure that I will have to use some sort of scoop. I have never seen this set up on car, I thought it would have a lot eye appeal.

I agree. I think that will look badass. Have you mounted the 440 yet? If not, you could always lower it a smidge if you are using elephant ears. I'm still a little anxious to see how much cutting I have to do to drop this puppy in my 66.

It just came off the UPS truck. So I have only taken it out of the box. The 440 is in pieces now anyway. I hope to get the car back from the shop soon. http://users.farmerstel.com/lnlsargent/dart.htmIt will be a slow project for me, especially with the way the econmy is going right now. Mopowers, I have spent a alot of time looking at the pics of the work that you have done to your car. I really like it.

Thanks man. I'm not the only one working on mine. I couldn't have done it without the help of my dad.
Also, I haven't seen the pictures of your 66 yet. Looks like you're well on you're way. I can't wait to see some updated progress pictures. Keep it up!
How are you planning on mounting your 440? What are you doing for headers and exhaust? Have you decided on a parts combo yet for the 440 (cam, heads, etc)?
I'm getting ready to make some elephant ears and midplate for mine. I'll be sure to post some pictures when that happens.

Mopowers follow the link in my previous response and you can see pictures of the car. I hope that I can sell enough horses this year to pay for an alterkation. I haven't nailded down the plans for the engine yet. I have 67 440 HP block, crank, rods and heads. I will most likely use those with the intake and I am not really sure after that. I guess it will have be something that is compatible with all that carberation. I always wanted a 6 pack car, now I'll have a 12 pack.

Just bringing this back to show you my old 66 Dart that I had a 6pk hood scoop which would give you more room. Ron
