Has anyone seen a Dart Sport cluster like this before??
« on: July 04, 2008, 12:54:42 PM »

I was browsing the TexasAcres.com website and found an instrument cluster for a 74 Dart Sport, that has the rectangular fuel/temp/alt gauges and different font for the numbers on the speedo.  Was this a factory cluster or did someone customize it?

That looks more like a 67-69 Valiant to me, but it also could have come from a Mexican car as they got all sorts of different things at different times.

I believe it's a late 60's Valiant cluster.

A lot of 60s parts wound up in 70s Mexican and Brazilian Mopars.

Are the speedo increments designated as MPH or KM/Hr..?

I see that it seemingly tops out at 120, so my WAG is that it is a MPH speedo.

Jim,

All our Mopars came with dashes looking like the ones of yours 67/68, and later we used our own models, no one looked like the one in the pics. My 68 valiant had one very similar to that one.

I was also thinking about 68 GTS hood inserts showing up on your mid-70s Chargers....... (or whatever model they were).

Maybe it's a Mexican car that had it's replaced with a '60s Valiant cluster due to its similarity.  Dunno
