I spoke with a dealer here in Ft. Worth to order one. I get the Chrysler supplier price. He would not deal. I told him they will build a shit load more. Anyway, they want 5K over window sticker for them. They are getting 14 total. So I had a friend in TN order me on. A 2009 6 speed SRT8. Now the wait begins. I am looking at January.

I don't like the idea of paying ANYTHING over MSRP, but 5Gs over MSRP isn't all that bad COMPARED to what some of these dealers are getting on the '08s.    I think you've made a good choice going with the '09.   Gives you a 6 speed and bigger choice of colors.  Congrats on your order.  So what color are you going to get???

It is Blue with a sunroof and a 6 speed. There is a hold for now on the 6 speed cars. But I do not care I will have one.

Color code on the blue?   Is it the (PQD) B5 Blue?  Not only would that be cool sittin' next to your 'Cuda, but I can't imagine a hotter Mopar except for a Viper, and personally, I'm too old and stiff to get in and out of a Viper!  Congrats again on your order!

Deep Water Blue is the darker of the two blues available on the Challenger.    There's another blue (paint code PQD) that is named B5 Blue after the original B5 code that has become so iconic over the years.  My '69 Cuda was originally B5 and your's as well, right?   

This new version can be found on '08 Charger SRT8 Superbee's.    The SAME code PQD can be seen on '08 PT Cruisers and I BELIEVE the Caliber, but on them it's named Surf Blue.   Same color.

This is the color they used on the "one only" sequence #43 of the '08 Challengers and then, according to the '09 brochure, will be limited availability on the '09s.   That's my first choice of color if I decide to get an '09, but I'm undecided at this point about buying one and am thinking it won't be available later if I decide to order.  Oh well, the Black looks pretty good too.

The color code is PBS. I believe they had one on display at Carlisle. I will try to find a pic to post. There may be a problem. I was told today I can not get the SRT8 in that color. So I may end up with a RT.

The SRT8 has only 4 colors. They are Black, Red, Siver , and Hemi orange. Not sure all of the codes that fit. I do not want one of these. I want Blue. So it looks like I am going with a PBS blue R/T.

The window sticker on mine is $35370. I am getting it for 32363+TTL. I had put it in to be a SRT8 but I want Blue. Plus the 2100 dollar GG tax and not able to get it in Blue done that in.
