Drive line length?

I just picked up a running 383 an 727 for my car. '72 Dart w/a 8 3/4 soon. What is the length of the drive line needed for use? Also has magnum manifolds, but I plan to run TTI headers off the 915 heads I have for it.

i have the answer my friend.

I recently pulled out my old d shaft from my dart. It was the factory  318/904  version that i had shortened.

70 dart--stock 8.75 housing  ,  small u-joints .  RB / 727 .

measures  48.25"  center to center  on the u-joints.  This is installed with about 1"  of play on the trans yoke.

Thanks very much. I also grabed a drive line from a '69 charger I planned to have shortend vs. my stock one. Bought a P/J gear drive along w/other go fast goodies tonight. My small block is fine, but I've always been a big block guy. I can finally post the icon sig now.......
