Gas pedal and cable for 66 dart with 273

Thought I had the right piece, but it does not fit, cable too long and no factory provision to bolt to firewall.    Car was a 225 / 6 with the goofy gas pedal / rod setup.

or a pic of your setup to see if I am missing something...
